Bell Tower’s Patio Spawns Saratoga’s Newest Restaurant

The Bell Tower was purchased by Ray Shafazand, well-known restaurant hospitality and restaurant industry consultant in the Bay Area, in the Fall of 2013. He quickly saw great potential for the patio and went to work turning it into an evening hotspot. With newly installed canvas roofing and side panels as well as fire and ice pits, it was ready to take out the temperatures after the setting sun, as well as any inclement weather that might try to keep patrons away. Then Bell Tower Bistro was divided into two separate restaurant businesses, and the patio along with its beautiful separate wine bar became a new restaurant called Santorini Wine & Beer Garden.

Santorini is open from 4 to 10pm every day serving Mediterranean food. Their lavish selection of wine includes limited and rare wines from local wineries, and the beer garden is one of a kind, carrying rare German, Belgian and Dutch beers.

Beer Tasting ~ Wednesdays from 5 to 8pm

Each week there will be a different assortment of delicious and sought-after craft beers. Each tasting is paired with interesting facts about the beer’s origin, history, or brewing.

Wine Tasting ~ Thursdays from 5 to 10pm

Went yesterday for lunch...WOW! What a great surprise and a wonderful restaurant addition to the area. So much better than I imagined!

Love this restaurant! Great food, friendly staff and excellent value. Really enjoyed the clam chowder, tasty high quality burger and sensational deserts. Pastry chef on site and DELICIOUS desserts. If I lived closer would become a regular. This one is a keeper.
